About Us
Strompreise Schweiz is a passion project that we are developing alongside our work at Sintio AG. At Sintio, we develop software services for energy providers, property management companies, and businesses that want to operate charging stations for electric vehicles efficiently and cost-effectively.
With this side project, we not only want to make our own work easier but also create real added value for everyone. Our goal: an electricity price portal that provides transparency and enables innovation.
Why Strompreise Schweiz?
The Swiss electricity tariff system is complex, with demand-based tariffs, peak and off-peak rates, and meter fees. Anyone looking to optimize their energy costs or develop smart controls needs precise tariff information. However, there is currently no portal that provides this data in detailed form.
The ElCom (Electricity Commission) offers a platform at strompreis.elcom.admin.ch, but it does not list all electricity products of energy providers. Moreover, only average values for standardized consumer profiles are published. These are useful for rough comparisons but are not sufficient to advance the federal government's Energy Strategy 2050.
To enable sustainable and intelligent energy use, we need smart energy controllers—and these controllers require reliable, detailed, machine-readable data. Our portal provides exactly this data and serves as a catalyst for innovation in the energy sector. Together, we can reduce CO₂ consumption and drive the energy transition forward.
Support & Collaboration
Since we are developing this project in our free time, we appreciate any support. You can help by sharing the project—especially with energy providers who can make an important contribution.
In return, the portal offers machine-readable tariff data, as required by the Electricity Supply Ordinance (StromVV) Article 7b—not just for average consumption. Rather, the detailed dataset enables the identification of savings opportunities and provides interfaces (APIs) for smart devices that control energy flows.
Do you have an idea on how we can further develop the project or which features are still missing? Then get in touch with us! We also look forward to exchanges regarding potential collaborations.
